Pipeline

From the top of the quad, take a hard left beneath the Octagon, and above Upper Goat. Enter the woods at an unlikely spot. Very steep, very tight turns lead to a traverse right. This eventually blends into Goat Woods and exits on Midway.
A note on history: According to Kim Brown’s 6 part article about glade skiing in Stowe, this line was originally cut by Peter Ruschp, who was tasked with cutting a narrow trail up to the Octagon, in order to run water to a spigots. It was improved in the summer of 1893 by locals named John and Skip.
