Redrock Ravine Slide

One of the most beautiful lines in the White Mountains, this slides descends steeply into the magnificent cirque of Redrock Ravine. It’s also one of the most remote lines, requiring 20 miles of skinning no matter which approach you choose. As you near Mount Guyot, keep an eye on the map for where the slide nears the trail. For how much approaching it took to get here, there is almost no bushwacking involved to get from Twinway to the top of the slide. The entrance is steep and may require some spicy side stepping. The upper part of the slide is characterized by beautiful bands of Red Rock and remarkable views. Pick your route through the rock bands to the lower gully, where you’ll be rewarded with excellent open turns. From here, you can either boot back out the slide to Twinway, or in high snow years, ski out Red Rock Brook.
